HOCS Projects in Calgary seeks an Intermediate Electrical Designer to develop detailed electrical drawings and documentation for industrial energy projects. You will translate engineering requirements, project standards and field data into constructible deliverables from concept through construction support and as-builts, collaborating with engineers and lead designers.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, and strong P&ID interpretation.

Qualifications

Post-secondary diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
5+ years electrical design experience in oil & gas, energy or industrial projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D design tools is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, drawings, specs and vendor data.
Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and industry standards.
Experience coordinating designs with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

Develop and revise electrical drawings and design deliverables (single-line diagrams, layouts, schedules, wiring diagrams, control schematics).
Prepare electrical designs using project standards, client specs and vendor data.
Use AutoCAD and 2D/3D tools to produce coordinated drawings and models.
Work with engineers and lead designers to integrate criteria and requirements.
Coordinate layouts with Instrumentation, Process, Mechanical and other disciplines.
Support site visits, field verification and construction planning.
Update drawings for issued-for-construction and as-built packages.
Review vendor drawings and incorporate applicable details.
