Job summary

Eaton's Milton, Ontario site, the largest manufacturing facility in Canada, seeks a Maintenance Technician - Controls & Automation to maintain, troubleshoot and improve automated production lines. You will support fiber laser, punching/shearing, panel-bender and robotic/pallet-handling systems while ensuring safety and uptime.

Responsibilities include breakdown response, PM tasks, equipment modifications and collaboration with IT/OT, operations and OEM teams to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in electromechanical engineering technology or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance in automated manufacturing; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC/HMI, CNC, VFDs, servo drives and safety circuits.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe breakdown response and root-cause analysis for mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automated sheet-metal fabrication and material-handling equipment.
• Read electrical schematics, ladder logic and OEM manuals; document findings and actions.
• Lead preventive/predictive maintenance, calibration, lubrication and component replacement.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering and OEMs during upgrades and commissioning.
