Job summary

MPAQ Automation Inc. in Mississauga is seeking a field service engineer to prepare, assemble, wire, install and support plant control systems and truck dispatch systems at client sites across North America.

You will train users on-site and remotely, troubleshoot plant and software issues, and build strong customer relations while coordinating with internal teams to fulfill requests. Occasional after-hours and travel are required.

Qualifications

• College diploma or technological degree in an Engineering related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven working experience in an applicable field.
• Fluent in English; professional working French and/or Spanish proficiency is an asset.
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical and control circuits, computers, Windows, networking.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills.
• Willingness to travel across North America; valid passport and driver's license; own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, wire, install and support plant control systems and truck dispatch systems.
• Train users on-site and remotely.
• Troubleshoot plant, computer and software issues via remote support or on-site visits.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to handle customer requests promptly.
• Test new software and hardware, troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
