Job summary

First Nations Bank of Canada in Saskatoon seeks a Trust Officer to lead client relations for Indigenous communities and oversee meeting packages, minutes, and client communications, in alignment with FNB Trust guidelines.

You will collaborate with the Trust Legal Officer and Client Operations, prepare trustee materials, monitor regulatory compliance, and help manage risk while maintaining audit standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business administration.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Advanced level of fluency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Professional and/or industry accreditation such as CPA, CFA or CIM (preferred).
• Indigenous status preferred (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).

Responsibilities

• Act as the central point of contact for assigned clients and travel to various trust-related meetings as needed.
• Provide best-in-class and compliant client experiences to trustees, leadership, and members.
• Work closely with the FNB Trust team including the Trust Legal Officer, Client Operations team, and Senior Trust and Client Operations Officer.
• Oversee the preparation of client trustee and/or leadership meeting agendas and packages.
• Ensure minutes are taken and finalized in alignment with FNB Trust minute guidelines and templates.
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of client presentations, quarterly and annual reports.
• Prepare communications to Members and any other correspondence needed for servicing assigned clients.
• Provide trust-related training to clients including Trustees, Leadership and Membership.
• Oversee the review and execution of client investment advisor and investment manager contracts.
• Review and oversee client investment policies.
• Limit risk exposure by ensuring Trust client services are carried out proactively and in compliance with defined policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with audit and internal control standards.
• Maintain expert knowledge of legislative, administrative and economic issues impacting account management.
• Communicate on a broad range of legal and financial issues with clients and their advisors.
• Abide by FNB Trust’s and FNBC’s policies and procedures related to conflicts of interest, privacy, confidentiality and data management.
• Participate in intra and inter-departmental meetings as requested.
