Job summary

RainCity Housing in Surrey, BC seeks an Indigenous Cultural Liaison Support Worker to provide Indigenous-specific supports, liaise with cultural activities, and advocate for access to services within Fraser Health.

You will deliver daily supports to all program participants, including crisis intervention, medication administration, and harm-reduction informed care, while building connections to culture, community, and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma in community social services.
• 2 years related experience in mental health, addictions, homelessness or social services.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Naloxone Certification.

Responsibilities

• Research/connect Indigenous tenants with Indigenous services and culture.
• Walk beside Indigenous tenants to connect with community events and Elders.
• Collaborate with ICL supports to plan and run programming.
• Advocate for tenants with service providers and community supports.
• Foster connection to the broader community to promote healing and wellness.
• Orientate new tenants to the ICL role and available cultural services.
• Perform related work as assigned.
