Job summary

Six Nations of the Grand River seeks a Community Health Survey Project Assistant to support the Onkwehón:we Health Check-In research activities. This role involves completing electronic surveys with participants, assisting with related data collection, and coordinating with the Population Health Data team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager ofPopulation Health Data and CHS Outreach Lead, the Assistant will contribute to health trend analysis and resource planning within a First Nations community,

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of and experience working with the Six Nations community.
  • Understanding of Six Nations culture and community dynamics.
  • Post-secondary education in health, social work, or science or equivalent experience.
  • Interest in Indigenous health research and learning.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel within approximately 40 km of Ohsweken (Ohsweken, Hamilton, Brantford, etc.).
  • Must pass criminal record check (Vulnerable Sector).
  • Ability to follow privacy and confidentiality guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person surveys with study participants in a respectful manner.
  • Assist with data collection, literature reviews, and data presentations as needed.
  • Support recruitment events and community outreach activities.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations; communicate progress to supervisors.
  • Attend project meetings and trainings and comply with OCAP and TCPS2 guidance.
