Job summary

Six Nations of the Grand River is seeking a Biostatistician for the Community Health Survey project. This 6–7 month contract will support data management, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of CHS data under the Population Health Data team.

You will apply advanced statistics, survey methods, and data visualization to identify health trends and determinants within the Six Nations community, with in-person work required at our facilities in Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, public health, data science or related quantitative field.
  • Minimum two years of experience managing, analyzing, and interpreting health or population data.
  • Advanced proficiency with statistical software and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, validate, manage, and quality-check Community Health Survey datasets.
  • Conduct analyses to identify health trends and determinants.
  • Prepare analytic datasets, data dictionaries, and reproducible workflows.
  • Produce indicators, summaries, and visualizations for reports and presentations.
  • Communicate findings clearly to staff and leadership.
