Job summary

Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society (KAFS) seeks a Family Service Manager to oversee multiple community programs and ensure contracts with MCFD are delivered effectively, honoring cultural practices and community priorities. You will supervise up to 15 staff, manage budgets and reporting to funders, lead recruitment, and guide strategic planning to improve service delivery for Indigenous families.

The role requires a degree in Human Services or related field, 7–10 years Indigenous-focused

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7–10 years of Indigenous-focused human services experience.
  • 3–5 years of direct leadership, supervision, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures, laws, and community priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; proficient in record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of up to 15 staff, providing leadership and oversight across programs.
  • Manage all program contracts, including monthly deliverables and outcomes reporting.
  • Review departmental reports and provide funder updates.
  • Lead recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee budgets and expenditures with proper documentation.
