Job summary

The Tŝilhqot’in Nation seeks a Community Connections Manager to lead engagement and communications across six communities in Williams Lake, BC. You will build relationships with leadership, families, staff and members, coordinating community meetings, information sessions and events to keep communities connected to the work underway.

You will develop plain-language materials, manage social media and digital channels, and ensure that community voices shape planning and program delivery.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in communications or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in communications or community engagement.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or Indigenous organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop clear, plain-language communications materials.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with six Tŝilhqot’in communities, leadership, staff and members.
  • Develop and coordinate community engagement plans, schedules, meetings, sessions and events.
