Job summary

CBI Health Group in East Kootenay (Golden, Invermere, Kimberley, Cranbrook, Fernie, Sparwood) seeks a Community Occupational Therapist for a part-time position. You will assess and support clients holistically across community and clinic settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal quality of life.

You must be a graduate of an OT program and registered with CHCPBC, hold a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel to rural sites. New graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy.
• Registered member in good standing with CHCPBC.
• Passionate about the profession and ongoing professional development.
• Hold a valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to rural sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including complex cases.
• Provide home, safety/attendant care, ergonomic, driving and clinic-based assessments and client education.
• Coordinate care with clients, families, care teams, funders and other health care providers.
• Develop new programs with the team to address identified client needs.
• Network with stakeholders to promote programs and perform accurate charting and reporting.
