The Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group (OSEG) invites applications for an Inclusion Coach in the Autism Moves program. This on-site, part-time contract role provides specialized behavioural support to youth with ASD, promotes a safe and inclusive environment, and supports program delivery alongside the Program Leader and staff.

You will monitor progress, liaise with families, adapt activities, and advocate for consistent application of behaviour strategies.

Qualifications

  • Certification or experience in behaviour analysis, special education, sport and recreation, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and strategies for behaviour management.
  • Experience working with children and youth in sports, recreation, or therapeutic settings.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Availability to work weekends and weeknights.
  • Access to a vehicle to attend various program sites.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset.
  • Able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Job description

Reporting to the Inclusion Coordinator, the Inclusion Coach is responsible for providing specialized behavioural support within the Autism Moves program, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants. This role develops and implements strategies to support diverse needs, adapts programming in collaboration with the Program Leader, and provides guidance to staff to ensure consistent application of behaviour supports. The position also monitors participant progress, engages with families as a key point of contact, and supports overall program delivery to enhance the experience for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This part-time, contract role has an hourly rate of $30/hr. This is a replacement position and works on site.
