Job summary

Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa is seeking an In-Room Dining Server to deliver high‑quality beverage and food service with a friendly, professional approach.

The role requires prior culinary and food and beverage service experience, strong communication in both official languages, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of 18.80 CAD and opportunities for growth within Accor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the culinary field is required.
• Previous Food & Beverage service experience is required.
• Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in both official languages.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Smart Serve Certification.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Reporting to the Outlets Leadership Team, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of all beverage lists
• Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
• Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
• Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up
