Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff, Canada, is seeking an In Room Dining Server to provide luxury food and beverage service in guest rooms and the Fairmont Gold Lounge. The role offers a starting hourly rate of $17.22, with increases after six months and at three years, and the chance to grow with our team.

Shifts include early mornings and late nights, with subsidized on-site staff accommodation and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 6 months food & beverage experience required.
• ProServe certification required.
• Must work in a fast paced environment including overnight shifts.
• Wine and cocktail knowledge is an asset.
• POS knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Providing luxury service from early mornings to late nights; opening servers start as early as 5:30 AM and closing servers until 1 AM.
• Delivering orders and amenities to guest rooms.
• Setting up and working functions in guest rooms for up to 75 guests.
• Managing the Gold floor lounge food & beverage component including breakfast, canapés, barista service, and bartending.
• Cashiering, taking guest orders, processing payments, organizing daily deliveries, and assisting the Manager on Duty with service flow.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The In Room Dining Server position is an exciting position giving you the opportunity to provide food & beverage service in guest rooms as well as serve in the Fairmont Gold Lounge.

Starting Rate: $17.22 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $18.22

We are looking those that can start in August & October, start dates will be discussed in the interview.

Job Duties Include:

• Providing luxury service from early mornings to late nights. Opening servers start as early as 530AM our closing servers stay as late as 1AM.
• Delivering orders and amenities to guest rooms
• Setting up and working functions in guest rooms for up to 75 guests
• Running of the Gold floor lounge Food & Beverage component.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, busy environment including overnight shifts
• 6 months previous food & beverage experience required
• Must have ProServe certification
• Wine and cocktail knowledge an asset
• POS knowledge an asset
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
