Bayshore HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join Bayshore Therapy & Rehab in the Ottawa area as a casual independent contractor. The role involves assessment, treatment, education and management of clients needing Occupational Therapy intervention.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, documenting progress, and coordinating with the health team. A masters degree and registration with the provincial College are required; two years of in-home OT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered and in good standing with provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
• Experience: At least two years providing Occupational Therapy services, in-home assessments and treatments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess clients and establish and revise treatment plans and discharge goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per standards; document assessment results, goals and progress.
• Collaborate with health-team members and communicate treatment recommendations to clients and care providers.
• Observe and guide others assisting in the Occupational Therapy program.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
