Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare in Thunder Bay, ON is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join Bayshore Therapy & Rehab on a casual, independent contractor basis. The role focuses on in-home OT assessment, treatment, and education for clients in their homes.

The OT will work under the Rehabilitation Management and is expected to maintain registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists, with 2+ years of in-home experience and a commitment to evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy; registered and in good standing.
• Minimum two years in-home occupational therapy experience.
• Knowledge of auto insurance and medical/legal report writing is an asset.
• Vaccination requirements may apply per provincial regulations; discuss with recruiter.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients and establish and revise treatment plans and discharge goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records according to Ontario College standards.
• Collaborate with other health team members as needed.
• Educate clients and care providers on treatment strategies.
• Observe and guide staff assisting in the OT program.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information; follow Bayshore policies.
• Complete other tasks as requested.
