Job summary

ComForCare Home Care in the Vancouver area is seeking caring individuals to provide in-home support. You will help clients with daily activities, personal care, mobility, meals and household tasks while offering companionship and respite for families.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Home Support/Resident Care Aide certificate, CPR and First Aid, plus ability to work in Canada and access to reliable transportation. Training provided and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Home Support/Resident Care Aide certificate, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • CPR Certification is required
  • First Aid Certification is required
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required; additional languages are a plus
  • At least 1 year of prior caregiving experience
  • Eligibility to legally work in Canada is necessary for this position
  • A valid driver’s license is a plus
  • Covid Vaccination Proof is required
  • Current TB screening and a Criminal Record Check are required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
  • Provide assistance with personal care.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers and range of motion exercises.
  • Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
  • Properly manage household needs.
  • Provide companionship and respite services for the family.
