Job summary

The Salvation Army International is seeking a Homelessness Services Worker in Niagara Region to help men access housing options and provide casework support within our shelter program. You will conduct intake, assess needs, and coordinate resources to prevent eviction and promote stability.

You will liaise with landlords, partner agencies and community services, maintaining documentation, and supporting clients through discharge planning and goal achievement, while upholding confidentiality and

Qualifications

• College diploma in social services or equivalent experience with marginalized individuals.
• Completion of Non-Violence Crisis Intervention Training or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Training in Naloxone administration and Mental Health First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake, assessment and referral services for shelter clients.
• Develop and manage housing plans and discharge plans for clients.
• Coordinate with landlords and service partners to secure housing options.
• Maintain confidential client records and complete required reports.
