Job summary

Diabetes Canada is seeking a Coordinator, Community Fundraising & Events to support the Fund Development department. You will assist the Community Fundraising & Events Officer with revenue goals and logistics for our annual golf tournaments and other events.

The role reports to the Manager, Community Fundraising & Events, and requires coordination across DC teams, vendor partners, volunteers, and event participants.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in fundraising, events, or not-for-profit.
• 1-2 years experience in fundraising, events, or related fields.
• Experience coordinating special events and managing volunteers.
• Experience with Canva, email marketing and social media.
• Strong communication, organizational and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

• Support revenue generation by assisting events and programs to meet annual goals.
• Identify opportunities to maximize event revenue (ticket sales, auctions, raffles, tables, teams).
• Coordinate two annual Golf Tournament Events and the Stick it to Diabetes Program.
• Solicit and follow up with sponsors and participants; manage event logistics.
• Support marketing strategies and partnerships for Special Events.
