At Muscular Dystrophy Canada, we believe in the power of connection. Every relationship we build, every community we engage, and every volunteer we support helps create real impact for people living with neuromuscular disorders across Canada.

We are currently seeking a Community Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our community-based fundraising efforts across Ontario. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven fundraiser who thrives on bringing people together, building trust, and turning community passion into meaningful impact.

In this role, you will lead key portfolios including our Fire Fighter partnerships, Walk & Roll events, and other community fundraising initiatives. You will work closely with volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community leaders to grow revenue, deepen engagement, and create exceptional experiences for everyone involved.

You will be out in the community, meeting with partners, supporting volunteer committees, attending events, and building authentic, long-term relationships. You’ll also collaborate closely with direct reports and colleagues across fundraising, marketing, volunteer engagement, programs, and data to ensure our efforts are aligned, effective, and well supported.

Requirements
  • Has five years experience in non-profit fundraising and community engagement
  • Is a natural relationship-builder who enjoys connecting with people and inspiring action
  • Is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with volunteers, donors, and partners
  • Is excited to be hands-on in the community and represent MDC with warmth and professionalism

This is a hybrid role based in the GTA, with regular local travel and occasional evening/weekend work to support community events.

Benefits
  • Meaningful, mission-driven work with visible community impact
  • Supportive, values-based culture grounded in connection, collaboration, and inclusion
  • Competitive salary range of $65,000 – $80,000
  • 100% employer-paid health and dental benefits, pension matching, generous vacation, personal days, and gift days
  • Flexibility through our hybrid work model
  • The opportunity to help shape and grow community fundraising in a time of transformation and growth

If you are passionate about community, motivated by impact, and excited to build relationships that make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
