Job summary

FAMILY FIRST CREATIVE LEARNING CENTRE INC is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in Calgary. The role requires someone who is self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of implementing child-care programs and supporting development in a day-care setting.

Position is permanent, full-time, day shift. Must have the required ECE certifications and be able to start as soon as possible. LMIA approved for this ECE role.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• College level certificate/diploma (1–2 years).
• 1 year to 2 years post-secondary education required.

Responsibilities

• Assist coworkers with housekeeping and cooking.
• Develop and implement child-care programs to support development.
• Maintain daycare equipment and facilities.
• Assist lead educators in carrying out programs for children's development.
• Lead activities such as stories, songs and field trips.
• Engage children with storytelling, crafts and songs.
• Guide children in healthy eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for meals and rest periods.
