BRIGHTER STAFFING AGENCY is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in Alberta to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The role emphasizes program development, collaboration with families, and adherence to licensing standards.

You will lead activities, promote healthy growth, and work with a supportive team to ensure high-quality care and development for young learners.

Qualifications

• ECE diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid ECE Certification from the Alberta Child Care Licensing Board.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
• Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Lead activities by storytelling, songs, and creative expression using art, drama, music and movement.
• Plan and maintain a healthy, secure learning environment for children.
• Assess abilities and discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Observe children for learning or behavioral concerns and report to parents or supervisor.
• Supervise and coordinate activities for school-age children in after-school programs.
• Collaborate with co-workers and community service providers.
