Job summary

Fueling Brains Academy is seeking On-Call Early Childhood Educators to support our teams across Calgary campuses. You can choose one or multiple locations, based on availability and commute.

We value reliability, flexibility and strong communication skills, with Alberta ECE certification preferred. You will work with Lead and Assistant Teachers to provide safe, engaging learning experiences for children across environments.

Qualifications

• Alberta ECE certification preferred (Level 2 or 3)
• Experience in childcare/early learning environments preferred
• Reliable, flexible, and strong communicator
• Adaptable to different classrooms, age groups and teaching teams
• First Aid certification either current or willing to obtain
• Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage based on campus staffing needs and your availability.
• Create a safe, caring and engaging environment for children.
• Support children through daily routines, transitions and learning experiences.
• Encourage children's independence, creativity and social-emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers and campus leadership.
• Support developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
• Assist children with self-care routines (dressing, feeding, diapering) as required.
• Maintain appropriate classroom supervision and health/safety procedures.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Assist with other classroom responsibilities as required.
