Job summary

Pinnacle Group in Waikato, NZ is seeking a dedicated immunisation improvement nurse for a 12-month fixed-term role (32 hours per week) to help tamariki and whānau access timely vaccines and trusted information.

You will work with general practices, whānau and community partners to strengthen systems, mentor teams and lead small improvement activities, with a strong focus on equity for Māori and Pasifika children.

Qualifications

Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and competency to practice.
Two years' post-registration nursing experience.
Independent authorised vaccinator status.
Current full NZ driver licence.
Experience with pēpi, tamariki and whānau in health settings.
Understanding of Health NZ Te Whatu Ora immunisation programme.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and support service improvement.
Able to work flexibly with competing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with general practices, whānau and community partners.

Mentor, facilitate and share practical knowledge.
Support hauora and community events.
Lead small improvement activities to make immunisation services easier to access.
