ParaMed in Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse to enhance patient care in home health services, aligned with governing bodies and internal standards. Experience in wound care and union considerations may apply.

The RN will assess, plan, supervise nursing staff, and ensure care plans are executed with high standards, while collaborating with care leadership to support independent living and reduce hospitalization when possible.

Qualifications

  • Current certificate of competence from the provincial Approved Institutions.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the province's Approved Professional Institutions.
  • Experience in community or long-term care.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and comprehension.
  • Strong problem-solving and big-picture thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient care follows nursing standards and physicians' orders.
  • Assist in assessment and monitoring and develop care plans.
  • Manage and evaluate nursing staff and orientations.
  • Monitor performance and refer issues to the Director of Care.
  • Provide direction to nursing department in the absence of the Director.
