ParaMed is seeking a NSWOC Registered Nurse to enhance wound care management and nursing practice within community/home care settings. This full-time position requires a Wound Certificate and experience in home health care to support residents with complex needs.

Responsibilities include leading care, coordinating teams, and ensuring adherence to standards. Access to a reliable vehicle is required for community visits and patient support.

Qualifications

  • Current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Approved Professional Institutions for the province.
  • Experience in community or long-term care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure resident/patient care follows nursing standards, physicians’ orders, and policies.
  • Assist in assessment and monitoring; develop and evaluate care plans.
  • Supervise nursing and personal care staff; coordinate orientations and duties.
  • Monitor performance and conduct appraisals; refer issues to the Director of Care.
  • Provide nursing leadership in the Director's absence.
