They are currently seeking a skilled ICI Estimator to join their dynamic team and play a vital role in preparing competitive bids that drive the business forward.

About This Role
You will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, and supporting project teams to ensure bids meet both client expectations and company objectives.
This is a client-facing and subcontractor-facing role, where strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
Our client is seeking a personable candidate with a customer-first mindset, fluency in English, and the ability to clearly communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless coordination and accurate project delivery.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to understand project scopes and requirements.

• Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify cost-saving opportunities during the estimating process.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all estimates and project changes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address cost-related questions, revisions or change orders.
• Stay current with market rates, industry trends, and construction best practices.

Requirements
• A minimum of 3-5 years of Canadian experience in Estimating and Project Management within the ICI General Contracting industry is required.
• Strong understanding of the bids and tenders process, particularly within institutional and commercial and public sectors.
• Should have an established network of reliable suppliers and subcontractors, with a willingness to leverage existing relationships is required.
• Ability to read and interpret tender documents, blueprints, drawings, and project specifications is a must.
• Solid knowledge of construction materials, labour costs, and subcontractor pricing.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Excellent MS Excel, mathematical, and analytical skills for precise cost calculations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet bid deadlines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English for effective interaction with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Project Management/Estimating tools is preferred (such as Sage100 Contractor, Contractor Foreman, or similar tools).

Why Apply?
• Be part of a growing company with a solid reputation in the ICI general contracting space.
• Work on diverse and impactful projects for the public, commercial and other institutional clients.
• Full-time, in-person role.
• Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and performance-based bonus opportunities.
• Collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth.
