Located in the heart of the ICE District, OEG owns the Edmonton Oilers, Edmonton Oil Kings, and Bakersfield Condors. They operate Rogers Place, a premier sports and entertainment venue with advanced technology and sustainable features.

Role Summary :

Security Agents are vital to the success of the Ice District, providing excellent customer service, maintaining visibility, and ensuring safety by observing policies and standards, acting as deterrents, and supporting a secure environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ensure safety and security in the Ice District.
• Conduct patrols to prevent hazards and unlawful activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and report incidents.
• Provide problem-solving support to partners and agencies.
• Write reports on incidents and hazards.
• Respond to medical emergencies with first aid, CPR, or AED.
• Maintain relationships with social agencies and enforcement bodies.
• Support Security Control Room operations.

Who You Are :

• Invested in public safety in Edmonton’s downtown.
• Knowledgeable about the Criminal Code and Powers of Arrest.
• Effective communicator with strong oral and written skills.
• Calm and service-oriented when dealing with individuals.
• Experienced in report writing and incident investigation.
• Flexible with shift schedules, including 12-hour shifts.

Education, Experience, and Skills :

• 1-3 years security-related experience.
• Valid Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act License.
• ProTect and ProServe certifications.
• First Aid, CPR / AED certification.
• Use-of-Force and de-escalation training.
