Job summary
Motion Industries is seeking a engineer to design heavy-duty hydraulic systems for mining equipment, including drills and excavators. You will create schematics, 2D layouts, and 3D CAD models, and determine high-pressure, flow, and heat dissipation requirements for deep-mine environments, ensuring components withstand abrasive dust and extreme temperatures.
The role requires integration with automation teams for electro-hydraulic controls, prototype build and calibration, cycle-time and oil
Qualifications
- Experience designing heavy-duty hydraulic systems for mining equipment.
- Ability to produce 2D layouts and 3D CAD models.
- Knowledge of CSA/ISO and provincial mine safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Design heavy-duty hydraulic systems for mining equipment.
- Create schematics and 2D/3D CAD models.
- Analyze high-pressure, flow, and heat dissipation requirements.
- Select harsh-environment seals, hoses, and valves.
- Integrate electro-hydraulic controls with automation teams.
- Build, install, and calibrate prototypes underground.
- Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshoot failures.
- Prepare Bills of Materials and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams during complex overhauls.
