Job summary

IAT Global Manufacturing is seeking a Hydraulic Assembler in Windsor, Ontario to join our team. You will build, assemble and test hydraulic components and systems, using drawings and BOMs to ensure high precision and leak-free operation.

Responsibilities include hydraulic fitting and hose preparation, pressure testing, and collaboration with engineering to resolve fit issues while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years in hydraulic or mechanical assembly in an industrial trade.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic components (cylinders, valves, pumps, manifolds, fittings).
  • Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers and micrometers.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, and bend for extended periods.
  • Millwright/Industrial Mechanic/Machine Builder certification preferred.
  • Experience with precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, or pallet/automation systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic torque and pressure testing equipment preferred.
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred.

  • Work with hydraulic clamps, cylinders, and industrial hardware for fixtures.
  • Inspect components for quality and dimensional accuracy during assembly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps and test results.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address design or fit issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes.

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Assembler to join our team and play a critical role in building, assembling, and testing hydraulic components and systems. This position is vital for ensuring the precision and performance that define our advanced manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble hydraulic components accurately, following engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs) to guide assembly processes.
  • Install and torque fittings, seals, and gaskets to ensure leak-free and functional systems.
  • Conduct pressure testing and leak checks on assembled units, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Prepare hydraulic hoses and tubing, including cutting, crimping, and routing to specification.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-3 years in hydraulic or mechanical assembly within an industrial trade.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and bending for extended periods.
  • Preferred: Millwright, industrial mechanic, or machine builder trade certification/apprenticeship.
  • Preferred: Experience with precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, or pallet/automation systems.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with hydraulic torque and pressure testing equipment.
  • Preferred: Background in automotive, aerospace, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
