Job summary

Ethos is seeking an Assembly/Machine Building Technician for a first shift to build custom, made-to-order machines from drawings. A strong mechanical background and ability to read prints are essential.

You will operate from sketches or verbal instructions, keep a clean work area, and contribute to a low-volume, start-to-finish production process. Candidates with 1+ year in manufacturing or mechanical work and a basic understanding of hydraulic components and 12V wiring are preferred; forklift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or mechanical work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read prints/diagrams.
• Experience with machines, cars, or mechanical systems is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand hydraulic components.
• Basic knowledge of 12V wiring and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to lift repeatedly and operate overhead cranes; forklift training possible.

Responsibilities

The Assembly/Machine Building Technician will be responsible for building custom, made-to-order machines per drawing specifications.

Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with experience in building or mechanical repair of industrial/heavy equipment.

Be able to work from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions.

A strong attention to detail is required.

To be safe in all operations of the job. To keep the work area clean and organized.

This is a low-volume work environment where you will build a machine from start to finish.

• Must have a High School Degree
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or mechanical work experience.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Any experience working on machines, cars or any type of mechanic background is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• An understanding of hydraulic components and functionality.
• A basic understanding of 12V wiring.
• Ability to use wrenches, air tools, overhead cranes, steel handling and frequent lifting required.
• Forklift experience or ability to train on operation of.
