Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Trader Support Specialist to act as the primary operational contact for Front Office trading teams. You will apply your knowledge of financial products, capital markets, and trade management systems to support internal partners and help ensure accurate trade processing.

In Montreal, the role combines hands-on trade support with collaboration across Compliance, Operations, and Technology to maintain efficiency and integrity in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and capital markets.
• Experience with trade management systems (Bloomberg, Calypso, Murex, or similar platforms).
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to trading desks covering listed products, derivatives, private placements, and collateral activities.
• Process trade cancellation and correction requests from institutional partners, including amendments to price, settlement date, fees, and other trade details.
• Manage transactional adjustments for entities.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues related to trade processing and settlement.
• Work with Compliance, Operations, Technology, and other partners to ensure accurate transaction processing.
