Job summary

Wood is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a major client’s sustaining capital and brownfield projects from our Edmonton office. The role is hybrid, accountable for integrated delivery, governance, and performance across a multi-project portfolio within an alliance model with the client.

You will lead senior stakeholder engagement, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive cost, schedule, and risk performance across the program while developing Wood teams and ensuring alignment with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• PMP, APM, P.Eng., or equivalent professional designation preferred.
• 15+ years of experience delivering capital projects in oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Experience leading sustaining capital or brownfield portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture aligned with client HSSE expectations and Wood values.
• Maintain strong senior-level relationships with client leadership, alliance partners, and key stakeholders.
• Provide overall leadership and accountability for the delivery of the sustaining program within an alliance contracting model.
• Lead and mentor Wood Project Managers within the Portfolio.
• Ensure effective resourcing, prioritisation, and workload balancing across the alliance.
• Accountable for program-level financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, and value optimisation.
