Job summary

Wood in Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. You will lead structural design for heavy industrial facilities, delivering from concept through construction and commissioning, in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

This role emphasizes technical leadership, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior engineers, and direct client engagement to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industrial projects including bio products, oil & gas, and pulp & paper facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering solutions from concept through detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and engage directly with clients to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced structural engineer with a strong background in heavy industrial projects, including Bio Products, Oil & Gas, and Pulp & Paper facilities. You will play a key technical and leadership role, delivering structural engineering solutions from concept through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning.

The role includes technical leadership, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, mentoring junior engineers, and direct engagement with clients to ensure project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost are achieved.
