Job summary

BCAA is hiring a Temporary Full-Time Senior Claims Adjuster at our Burnaby head office to handle property and casualty claims by phone and in person. You will investigate, review evidence, determine coverage, and negotiate fair settlements with insureds or legal representatives.

Ideal candidates have a post-secondary business diploma, 5–7 years in a claims environment, a valid BC driver’s license, CIP is a bonus, and are comfortable working in a hybrid office setup.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in business or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in a claims environment.
• Valid BC Driver's License with clean driving record.
• CIP designation is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relations with insurer over the telephone.
• Investigate the legitimacy of claims and gather evidence.
• Review estimates, photos, videos, ownership documents, hospital records.
• Negotiate fair, cost-effective settlements with insureds or legal representatives.
