Job summary

Northbridge Financial Corporation is seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster in Toronto to adjudicate intermediate to complex liability claims and confirm coverage. You will prepare file summaries for reporting and work closely with claimants, brokers, and counsel to resolve matters efficiently.

The role requires at least 5 years of liability claim handling experience, post-secondary insurance education, and CIP designation or progress toward it.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program.
• Completed or working towards the CIP designation.
• A minimum of 5 years of liability claim handling experience.
• Experience with commercial lines an asset.
• Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to clearly communicate with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicating intermediate to complex claims, including files in litigation.
• Confirming coverage and completing a liability investigation.
• Preparing file summaries for internal reporting, large loss, and reinsurance.
• Effectively managing a busy day to day schedule.
• Providing a great Customer experience.
