Job summary

University of Victoria’s Facilities Management seeks a Project Manager 1 to lead all phases of projects from initiation to close, focusing on lower complexity, shorter duration assignments up to $5M. You’ll prepare briefs, manage consultants and contractors, and ensure client satisfaction.

Flexibly working schedule may include weekends. Eligibility includes an Architecture/Engineering degree or related diploma with recent experience, and the role requires strong communication and risk management

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering and 3 years of experience, or Architectural Technology diploma and 6 years of experience.
• Experience with renovation projects from initiation to close, values from $50k to $5M.
• LEED‑Gold knowledge and sustainable building practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects across renovations, building assessments, or feasibility studies.
• Prepare Project Briefs/Charters/Plans, manage consultants and contractors, and track progress.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and PM staff to ensure objectives are met.
