Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited in Regina, SK, is seeking a Project Controls Lead to join our Project Engineering team on a permanent basis. The role requires in-office work three days per week with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days.

You will drive project cost and schedule performance for a portfolio of capital and technical services projects, mentoring project controls professionals and collaborating with Project Managers, contractors, and accounting to keep projects on time and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in industrial construction or maintenance projects with significant exposure to project controls, scheduling, and cost management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, commerce, or related field; combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls activities for a portfolio of capital and technical services projects, developing and maintaining budgets, schedules, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Monitor and report project progress, costs, and schedule performance using EVMS methodologies, identify variances and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, contractors, accounting and other stakeholders to establish baselines and ensure accurate reporting of scope, costs, schedules, and forecasts.
• Provide expert project controls guidance and cost estimating support for complex, multi-million-dollar projects; apply industry best practices.
• Lead and mentor project controls contractors and specialists to ensure high-quality deliverables and a strong safety culture.
