Job summary

Algonquin College's Pembroke Campus seeks a part-time Project Coordinator for the Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) Lanark & Renfrew. You will coordinate timelines, support a small team, organize advisory meetings, and track deliverables to foster newcomer inclusion in rural Eastern Ontario.

You'll build partnerships with municipalities and service providers, assist with surveys and reporting, and help promote anti-racism initiatives across Lanark and Renfrew Counties while aligning with IRCC

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in community development, social services, project management or related field.
• Two+ years of project coordination or stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience with newcomers, equity-deserving populations, or rural communities is valued.
• Strong organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, SurveyMonkey, and social media tools.
• Valid G-class driver’s license and access to reliable regional travel.
• Bilingual English/French or another language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables for LIP-Lanark & Renfrew.
• Support project team and tracking reporting requirements.
• Organize advisory and community meetings with stakeholders.
• Build and maintain partnerships with municipalities and service providers.
• Represent the project at events and regional planning meetings.
• Assist with research and evaluation, including surveys and data collection.
• Promote newcomer inclusion, anti-racism, and public education in the region.
