Job summary

Algonquin College Pembroke Campus seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Local Immigration Partnership for Lanark & Renfrew. You will coordinate timelines, organize meetings, and coordinate activities that align with federal funding priorities.

You will collaborate with municipalities, service providers, and community organizations, help design surveys, gather feedback, and contribute to required reporting while promoting newcomer inclusion and anti-racism in rural Eastern Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two-year diploma in Community Development, Social Services, Project Management, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or community-based programming.
  • Experience working with newcomers, equity-deserving populations, or rural communities is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, SurveyMonkey, and social media tools.
  • Valid G-class driver's license and access to reliable transportation for regional travel.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) or fluency in another language is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of LIP-Lanark & Renfrew’s annual and strategic work plans.
  • Coordinate project timelines and track deliverables.
  • Organize advisory and community meetings with partners.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with municipalities and community organizations.
  • Support research, surveys, and required reporting.
  • Promote newcomer inclusion and anti-racism initiatives.
