Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a permanent, full-time Labour Relations Advisor to support business leaders, HR teams and union reps across multiple regions. The role includes interpreting collective agreements, guiding union relations, and serving as a company spokesperson in meetings and bargaining sessions.

Based in Surrey, Kamloops, or Prince George, you will build strong union relationships, provide training, and ensure compliant labour relations practices across provinces.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in human resources management, labour relations or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years progressive HR experience including 3 years in a unionized environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective agreements and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on interpretation and implementation of collective agreements across regions and provinces.
• Manage grievances and participate in arbitration as needed.
• Lead or support full-cycle collective bargaining preparation, costing and negotiations.
• Develop and deliver labour relations training content for leaders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives and HR partners.
• Work with legal counsel on complex labour relations matters.
