Job summary

Novus Entertainment Inc. is seeking a dependable Junior System Administrator to support day-to-day IT operations in Vancouver. You will assist with Windows/Linux administration, device provisioning, and end-user support, while contributing to infrastructure projects and documentation.

You’ll work with Proxmox/Hyper-V/VMware environments and gain hands-on experience across server, storage, and cloud services. A collaborative, growth-focused team culture awaits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical training and experience.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration, including user access and patching.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
• Basic virtualization knowledge and familiarity with Proxmox, Hyper-V, or VMware.
• Exposure to scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and desire to automate tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Interest in security, networking, and IT infrastructure concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for employees; triage, troubleshoot, and resolve routine issues.
• Prepare, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot staff devices and software using approved tools.
• Perform routine user administration: onboarding/offboarding, password resets, MFA assistance.
• Maintain hardware/software inventories and assist with asset moves and vendor coordination.
• Assist with installation and monitoring of virtualization, storage, and server infrastructure.
• Participate in upgrades, patches, migrations, and maintenance windows.
• Contribute during on-call rotations and after-hours support.
