Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of multidisciplinary electric utility projects across distribution, transmission, substations, and related disciplines. The role blends technical review with project coordination under a Senior Project Engineer, with a path toward independent leadership.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background, EIT/PE designation or eligibility, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of engineering experience in electric utility industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).

Responsibilities

• Supporting multidisciplinary technical coordination and integration of engineering deliverables across utility disciplines.
• Reviewing drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports to identify interfaces, gaps, and constructability concerns.
• Defining engineering scope, design criteria, and deliverables with senior engineers.
• Coordinating internal and client design reviews and ensuring deliverables meet client requirements and standards.
• Maintaining engineering schedules, work plans, and deliverable registers; tracking actions and decisions.
