Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support multidisciplinary electric utility projects across distribution, transmission, substations, protection and control, telecom, civil and structural disciplines. The role, under a Senior Project Engineer, blends technical work with coordination across interfaces to enable safe, high-quality project execution.

This hybrid position is preferably based in Vancouver with Edmonton or Calgary as additional options, offering growth toward independent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EIT or P.Eng. with the applicable provincial association, or eligible to register.
• Experience on electric utility projects across distribution, transmission, substations, protection and control, telecom, civil or structural.
• Ability to understand and integrate multidisciplinary engineering information across disciplines.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering deliverables across utility disciplines.
• Review drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports to identify interfaces and gaps.
• Define engineering scope, design criteria, deliverables and interfaces with senior engineers.
• Coordinate internal and client design reviews and track actions.
• Develop and maintain engineering schedules, work plans, deliverable registers and decisions.
• Support proposal development, budgets, forecasting and change management.
