Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in London seeks a Housing Advisor to support housing needs assessments and create tailored housing plans. You will manage a complex caseload and provide frontline advice, advocacy, negotiation and mediation to prevent homelessness.

Based in Lambeth with a 3:2 office/remote rota, you will conduct home visits when required and ensure all housing options are explored to secure best outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Provide a front of house service for housing advice and assistance.
• Deliver mediation and advice to households facing homelessness.
• Manage a demanding caseload with care and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide front of house housing advice and direct customers to the right service.
• Deliver an advice and mediation service for households facing eviction or housing difficulties.
• Offer home visits when required to help clients stay in accommodation.
• Deliver customer-facing services via drop-in, appointments, and evenings as needed.
• Operate a telephone advice-line providing full casework support.
• Assess temporary accommodation needs and follow placement processes.
• Manage priority and non-priority caseloads with detailed records.
• Balance casework, interviews, and telephone service to assist on enquiry day.
• Use housing options to avoid temporary accommodation and work with Lettings.
