Job summary

Toronto Community Housing is seeking an Employee and Labour Relations Consultant to advise managers, interpret collective agreements, and support recruitment within a large, unionized portfolio. The role emphasizes compliance with Employment Standards Act and Labour Relations Act while promoting positive labour relations.

You will mentor staff, coordinate grievance processes, and lead workforce planning initiatives in a hybrid work environment that blends home and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, labour relations, public administration or other relevant field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR and labour relations experience in a unionized setting.
• Proven knowledge of HR practices, collective agreements and employment legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provides coaching and strategic advice to managers in HR and labour relations.
• Supports re-organization processes and workforce planning.
• Assists in recruitment activities for assigned client portfolios and ensures compliance with collective agreements.
• Interprets and administers multiple collective agreements and supports grievance processes.
• Leads workshops and develops policies, guidelines and procedures.
