Job summary

Aecon in Toronto, Ontario, is offering a four‑month Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Co‑op opportunity beginning January 2027. The role provides exposure to EHS data, systems, and reporting while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Shared Services.

You will work three days per week in the office, gain hands-on experience with EHS dashboards, data collection, and document management, and contribute to safety performance across our construction projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to EHS or engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to the EHS Shared Services team across initiatives.
• Assist with collection and organization of EHS data and reports.
• Prepare EHS dashboards, presentations, and performance summaries.
• Maintain EHS systems and tools including data entry.
• Track incidents, corrective actions, and safety metrics.
• Coordinate meetings, training, and EHS activities.
• Organize EHS documentation and templates.
• Collaborate across projects and shared services to improve EHS reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in EHS processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
