Job summary

Meridian OneCap in Toronto is seeking an Early Stage Collector for a 6-month contract. You will minimize monthly delinquencies, negotiate payment plans, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues affecting collections.

Responsibilities include managing the delinquency email queue, following up on payment arrangements, and escalating when needed. The role requires 2–5 years in collections, English/French bilingual considered an asset, and MS Office proficiency; hybrid office schedule

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in Collections, preferably in leasing/financial services.
• Bilingual in English and French considered an asset.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to negotiate payment arrangements on past-due accounts.
• Manage the collections email queue and respond within SLAs.
• Follow up to ensure payment arrangements are met; escalate as needed.
• Review accounts for delinquency and determine best recovery strategy with internal teams.
• Process approximately 50–70 activities per day.
