Job summary

The ideal candidate has frontline healthcare experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and 3–5 years in case management or healthcare settings, with strong analytical and empathetic skills.

Qualifications

• Frontline healthcare experience (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, mental health support).
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Kinesiology or Business.
• 3–5 years of professional experience, ideally in healthcare or case management.
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills essential for client interactions.
• Ability to apply crisis intervention and rehabilitation techniques to aid recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage disability claims (short-term, long-term, salary continuance) with focus on fair resolution.
• Lead recovery planning by evaluating medical/non-medical factors and return-to-work readiness.
• Apply crisis intervention and rehabilitation techniques to support clients through health transitions.
• Use data and analytics to identify trends in recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
• Build trust-based relationships with clients, employers, and healthcare providers.
• Communicate with empathy to guide clients through absence and return-to-work journeys.
