Job summary

Colonnade BridgePort is seeking a Development Manager to lead the full development lifecycle from design through approvals and reporting, liaising with Investors, Asset Managers, Brokers, Tenants and Consultants in Ottawa and surrounding regions.

You will collaborate with Investment Management, Asset Management, Leasing and Operations teams, manage budgets and schedules, and support the proforma with inputs from financial analysts.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of related experience in development.
• Post secondary diploma or degree in Planning or Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Canadian planning frameworks.
• PMP Certification or another relevant professional certification such as GSC or LEED is an asset.
• Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Project, Word); Yardi is an asset.
• Superior communication skills, verbal and written; bilingual (English & French) is an asset.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Class G Driver’s Licence and access to own vehicle is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support due diligence activities for land acquisition.
• Manage municipal approvals (OPAs, ZBA, SPAs, Minor Variances).
• Monitor updates to planning regulations.
• Contract and project managing design consultants.
• Develop and manage overall project schedule.
• Support Sr. DM with proforma inputs and updates.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, accounting, invoices, variance reporting.
• Manage change processes and project turnover.
• Liaise with stake holders and coordinate monthly reports with DM team.
• Coordinate with internal teams and perform other duties as required.
