Job summary

Aviva Canada in Markham is seeking a skilled Claims Analyst to support our reinsurance and delegated claims programs. You will manage claims, bordereaux, and financial transactions, and ensure accuracy within Guidewire ClaimCenter while meeting account-specific SLAs.

You’ll collaborate with Claims Service Managers, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Finance, and Operations to monitor programs, reconcile reporting, and drive governance and continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance claims operations.
• Understanding of delegated claims authority programs, TPAs, MGAs, and claims administration practices.
• Knowledge of reinsurance arrangements and workflows.
• Familiarity with Guidewire ClaimCenter or similar claims management systems.
• Understanding of financial reporting, claims reserving principles, and claims accounting processes.
• Strong data management and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process claims and reinsurance bordereaux.
• Coordinate payments with reinsurance department or centralized unit.
• Enter and maintain claims, incidents, reserves, payments, recoveries and financial transactions in Guidewire ClaimCenter.
• Ensure claims and reinsurance information are processed within established SLAs.
• Monitor delegated authority claims programs and reinsurance arrangements for compliance with contracts.
• Review and manage incidents and claims within Guidewire ClaimCenter.
• Maintain complete and accurate claim records and documentation.
• Build and maintain understanding of delegated claims authority programs and related agreements.
• Partner with Claims Service Managers, Reinsurance and Underwriting teams to understand program structures and reporting expectations.
• Keep teams informed of program updates and issues.
• Assist in drafting and maintaining Claims Handling Agreements.
